Details- bbPress is easy to integrate, easy to use, and is built to scale with your growing community.

“Wrecks your roles; impossible to clean up after – AVOID THIS PLUGIN”

 

We wanted to try BBPress but we discovered quickly that it caused way too many problems with roles & permissions for the site. So we removed it. But it turns out that for at least 8 years bbPress has known the roles can’t be removed cleanly and they just shrug and say “not important.” So, I recommend you NOT INSTALL THIS PLUGIN. It will leave ugly traces behind itself like a nasty WordPress slug and you’ll waste hours googling it and trying to fix it to no avail. It’s old, it’s ugly, and it’s a mess

 

“Broke admin access. Goodbye”

I had installed this to test it out and had deactivated it, and it broke admin access to my site, twice, overwriting permissions for my admin account.

NEVER touching this plugin again, especially after reading that this has been an ongoing issue for years now. Cost me a lot of time and effort, not to mention IT fees in order to diagnose the issue so that I could access the admin tools to delete it.

Goodbye! I will be sure to find your other plugins and avoid them as well.

 

After I was reading the negative comments, I was scared to activate the plug-in. Therefore, I do not have much of a review, however it can’t be good if I was afraid to active it.

The worst editor I ever seen!.

Very unstable and very slow.

This stupid do-all thing can’t even make a 2-column dropdown menu.

 

I did not hate it, but I don’t think I would use it very often. Many of the feature require Elementor pro, which means you need to pay. It mainly had positive reviews, however many of the negative reviews said it was slow. It is a drag and drop page builder and was easy to use and figure out, but it also had many tutorial options and videos.

Rollback Update Failure
What does it do? Feature plugin to test plugin/theme update failures and rollback to previous installed packages

Details: When updating a plugin/theme, the old version of the plugin/theme gets moved to a wp-content/upgrade/temp-backup/plugins/PLUGINNAME or wp-content/upgrade/temp-backup/themes/THEMENAME folder. The reason we chose to move instead of zip, is because zipping/unzipping are very resources-intensive processes, and would increase the risk on low-end, shared hosts. Moving on the other hand is performed instantly and won’t be a bottleneck.
If the update fails, then the “backup” we kept in the upgrade/temp-backup folder gets restored to its original location
If the update succeeds, then the “backup” is deleted
2 new checks were added in the site-health screen:
Check to make sure that the rollbacks folder is writable.
Check there is enough disk-space available to safely perform updates.

Just as the name implies – awesome plugin! I use it for all of the pages & posts on my site & the icons are super easy to add with the Visual Composer website builder frontend editor. Would recommend checking it out!

“Poor patronising customer service”
Font didnt work within the plugin it was linked to and then when I asked them about it, was told I wont help you unless you pay, read the instructions or ask the forum. Thats like me going into a shop and being told I will only answer your question if you give me money, but read the the tag info or ask another customer.

“Couldn’t save those changes”
I just can’t save my settings. Any idea how to get this working??

I like that this plug in automatically includes Font Awesome, which means you don’t have to do it manually.
